As winter approaches I find myself waking up to darker hours. There is something special about these early mornings, when the first rays of light are still deep asleep. It is only appropriate that I saturate my daily rituals with the right type of music. The music which seems to originate from a deep well filled with eerie vapor that is Miasmah, one of my all-time favorite labels, run by Erik K Skodvin (aka Svarte Greiner) out of Berlin.

This colossal compilation has been curated by Headphone Commute to benefit all of those affected by Hurricane Sandy, the largest Atlantic hurricane on record, which has devastated portions of the Caribbean, Mid-Atlantic and Northeastern United States in late October 2012. 100% of all the proceeds generated from the sale of this album will be donated towards two charitable organizations: Doctors Without Borders and The Humane Society. The artists on the release have been hand-picked to showcase the world’s top talent in ambient, modern classical, and experimental music. The unprecedented selection features many unreleased pieces composed exclusively for the cause.

I would like to personally thank all of the artists who contributed to this compilation. They all deserve my highest gratitude and appreciation for donating their precious time and heartfelt work for this humanitarian cause! This couldn’t have happened without you!

As the darkness settled comfortably for its turn to rule, the Creature With 6 Billion Faces And 1 Heart took over the music. First appearing on these pages beneath the cloak of a troll, this personality pushed the buttons of unsuspecting visitors, urging them to open their ears to music, which was beyond the beyond. Finally, getting my full attention, I presented an opportunity to showcase the sounds instead of the words. This mix is the result of our understanding. Scratching on your ear canal and clawing at your secrets, the Howl Of The Demon Night Of The Werewolf pushes the envelope past any structure of rhythm and noise. This is as dark as it gets, and definitely not for the lighthearted. Remember I warned you.
